The Politician announced he has quit the Hearts of Oak job after his side’s 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Odotei has been working as the interim Managing Director of the Club after the departure of Gerald Ankrah.
“I’ve decided to let go my position as the head but I’m not leaving the club, I’m just changing my role because operationally I will not be able to combine it with other things but I will still hold my position in the management board, and continue to work behind the scene,” he told Asempah FM after the club’s win over Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
“I love this club and its fans so much, I’m sure they are elated today because last Wednesday we disappointed them but I thank them for coming to cheer the players on in this game.”
The Football Administrator was elected as the Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopong constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He was recently appointed as the deputy Minister-designate for Communication.
