Konadu is reported to be on the verge of replacing Croatia Zvrasko Lugarosic who is said to have left for holidays to his native country Croatia.
Reports indicate the Coach (Lugarosic) is unlikely to return to his post hence Kotoko linking up with their former Coach (Maxwell Konadu) to take up the position.
The ex-Ghana international is also believe to be on the brink of losing his job as deputy Coach for the Black Stars as the Ghana Football Association prepare to embark on a total overhaul in the technical team.
Inside sources reveal the Reds had previously contacted former Cameroonian assistant Coach Ibrahim Tanko who is alleged to have rejected the supposed offer due to a looming position as the assistant Coach of the Black Stars.
Maxwell Konadu supervised Kotoko to win the 2012/13 Ghana Premier League before taking up the role as Black Stars assistant Coach.
