Black Stars striker Raphael Dwamena wants to help the team achieve better heights.
According to the FC Zurich attacker he is not in the team to compete but rather wants to see the success of the National team.
Dwamena after being overlooked for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations made a return to the team for the 2019 Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, a game he scored twice to start off his Black Stars spell on a good note.
The forward has already been regarded as a good replacement for team captian Asamoah Gyan who could be hanging his boots in the next few years.
The player in an interview with KWESE Sports says he is not in the team to compete but rather wants to see himself and his colleagues excel.
“No I am not here to compete with anyone, I just want to help the team to get better,” he said.
“I want to help the team achieve bigger things not to compete, anytime I am given the chance to play I will give out my best.”
“Is not about competition is about how the team move on, we all want the success of the team, if they team does well we will all take the glory but if we fail then we will be blamed so is not about competition but rather the success of the team is the most important thing.”
The 22-year-old was phenomenal in his debut game against Ethiopia at the Babayara Sports Stadium last Sunday.
