Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has rubbished reports an alleged criticism leveled at Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah after the player was dropped from the team to face Congo in a World Cup qualifier.
The Bursaspor midfielder for the second time running was excluded by Coach Kwesi Appiah.
The former Udinese man with few days to the crucial clash posted on social media indicating “no one can retire him”.
Several tabloids however misinterpreted Badu’s instagram post which turned out to be a comment directed to a pal.
The post raised several eye brows leading to some websites reading meaning to the midfielders social media comment.
Badu has however denied such assertion explaining the post was directed to a friend.
“My attention has been drawn to an unprofessional article about me circulating on social media,” he wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
“It was a mere instagram joke with a friend called Enoch who has even posted a comment on the pic. I will entreat everyone to disregard such fickle liars.
“The national team is not for Agyeman Badu and whoever is called deserves to be there.
“Lets focus on winning our matches and stop this deceitful character. Long Live Black Stars. Long Live Ghana,” Badu added.
The Black Stars team have already began preparation for Friday’s clash against Congo at the Babayara Sports Stadium.
