Christian Atsu was blistering for Newcastle United in Saturday’s League triumph over West Ham United.
The winger was too difficult to contain by West Ham right-back Pablo Zabaleta who looked troubled throughout the game.
Atsu was instrumental for the Megbies who secured their first win on their return to the English Premier League as they walloped West Ham 3-0 at the ST. James Park.
The Ghana international set off the pace for the home side when he assisted his side’s opening goal.
The 24-year-old outpaced Pablo Zabaleta after receiving a through ball from Mbemba before sending in a pass to Joselu who tapped in from close range.
Ciaran Clark made it 2-0 in 78 minutes before substitute Aleksandar Mitrovic got the final goal in the 87th minute.
Atsu lasted the entire duration of the game for his side.
Black Stars compatriot Andre Ayew also played a part for West Ham United before making way for Dafra Sakho in the 79th minute.
