Ghana’s Wahab Oluwasuen defeated UK boxer John Hick in the main contest at the Azumah Nelson Fight Night on Saturday.
The Nigerian-born Ghan-based boxer was too strong for his compatriot who looked very poised before the bout.
Oluwasuen, National Super-feather weight Champion knocked out his opponent in round three after pulling a strong punch into the face of the British boxer.
Hick prior to being knocked down had given the Ghanaian a good match in the first two rounds dominating the second round.
However Oluwasuen’s powerful punch in the third round left the UK-based helpless as he failed to continue the fight.
In other contests, Raphael King from Ghana defeated laud-mouth British opponent Anthony Ayinde in the International weltherweight division in a split decision after the judges scored the fight 57 -56, 58-56 in favor of King with Ayinde earning a score of 56-57.
Wasiru Mohammed known as “Gjata bi” also defeated his Ghanaian opponent Felix Okine “The New” in the Superbamtham weight division with Azumah Nelson Junior emerging victorious over Prosper Dzidzor in the amateur division.
Saturday’s event marked the fourth round of the Azumah Nelson Fight Night.
