Accra Hearts of Oak have shown great sportsmanship by wishing Aduana Stars glovesman Stephen Adams well after the goalkeeper picked up an injury in Wednesday’s League match at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Adams was replaced late in the game after sustaining an injury having gone into an aerial challenge with Hearts striker Kwame Kizito leading to the Phobians third equalizer.
The goalkeeper could not continue the game and had to be substituted with few minutes to end the game.
As a sign of good sportsmanship, the Rainbow Club have wished the CHAN 2014 silver medalist a speedy recovery.
“We wish Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams, who got injured during the game yesterday, a very speedy recovery. You shall be well,” the Ghanaian giants tweeted.
Stephen Adams was in post for Aduana Stars due to the absence of first choice Joseph Addo who is current with the Black Stars team preparing for Friday’s World Cup qualifier against Congo.
