Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng came on as a second half substitute on his debut for Eintracht Frankfurt as they drew goalless with Freiburg in the German Bundesliga on Sunday afternmoon.
Coach Nicko Kovac started the 30-year-old from the bench at the Schwarzwald-Stadion.
Boateng who came on for Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada in the 67th minute brought some urgency into the Frankfurt attack.
His first touch nearly resulted in a goal when he saw his header go wide.
The former UD Las Palmas ace kept the pressure on the Freiburg defense in the final 23minutes of the game.
Coach Nicko Kovac could start the Ghanaian international in the team’s next game against Wolfsburg at home.
He was marking his 99th appearance in the German Bundesliga.
