Ghana head coach James Kwesi Appiah has recalled three players to his squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying double-header against Congo Brazzaville.
The 57-year-old is expected to name a strong squad to face the Red Devils at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and Brazzaville in the first week of September.
Appiah has also handed a call-up to France-based young goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi for the crucial double-header.
Istanbul defender-cum-midfielder Joseph Attamah has been drafted into the squad while Sassuolo’s Alfred Duncan makes a return to the squad.
Miami FC offensive midfielder Kwadwo Poku would also travel to Kumasi to join the Black Stars squad for the game.
Duncan, who was among the players left out of the squad for the 5-0 trouncing of Ethiopia, makes a return to the squad following his bright start to the season.
The 24-year-old former Inter Milan midfielder has emerged on the radar of English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs.
Ghana will play Congo twice within a space of five days as they will travel to Brazzaville for the reverse fixture on September 5.
