Swiss Super League side FC Zurich have confirmed they have pending offers for Ghana international forward Raphael Dwamena.
Premier League new-boys Brighton are rumoured to have bid €9 million for the signature of the 21-year-old goal machine.
Dwamena raked in 33 goals last season for both Austria Lustenau and FC Zurich and has began the current season on 5 goals in all competitions.
FC Zurich President President Ancillo Canepa has confirmed the club has received an offer from England for the striker but maintains they are not in a rush to cash in on the player.
“We’ve always had inquiries for him on the table, and yes, we currently have an offer from England, but we do not want to give it for sporting reasons,” he said.
No economic need to surrender Dwamena”
“Sure, when a certain scale is reached, you have to make it as a Swiss club some time for economic reasons, so I do not want to exclude a sale, but so far there was no offer at a financial level where I would be nervous “We have no economic need to surrender to Dwamen,” Canepa concluded.
Dwamena scored a hat-trick on Sunday for Zurich in the Swiss Cup.
