Black Stars B Coach Maxwell Konadu will be happy to see the Championship of African Nations tournament being hosted in Ghana.
Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah has hinted the country could be hosting the competition which has been stripped off from Kenya.
This comes after the country successfully hosted the WAFU Cup of Nations which has eventually raised calls for the CHAN tournament to be staged.
Maxwell Konadu after missing out on qualification with the team following a defeat to Burkina Faso will be elated to see Ghana host the tournament come January 2018.
“We were disappointed for failing to qualify this team to the main CHAN, but that is football you can get what you want in life and you have to understand,” he told the media.
“The most important thing trying to put this boys together for them to play at this highest level and is one achievement am proud of.
“We know that the tournament has been taken away from Kenya, it’s beyond me to decide, but if Government and GFA find it in their wisdom to host the tournament, why not..,
“we will receive it with both hands,” Maxwell added.
The former Kotoko Coach led the Black Stars B team to clinch the WAFU Cup of Nations on home soil after a comprehensive 4-1 win over rivals Nigeria over the weekend.
