Ghana defender Daniel Opare is relishing a return to the Black Stars team after a three-year absence.
The right-back has rediscovered his form earning a regular spot in the Augsburg team.
Opare struggled in his first season at the German Club which forced the Bundesliga outfit to loan him out to French side Lens.
The former Ghana U20 defender has been able to slot himself into the first team at Ausburg after returning from his loan spell.
He is counting on his new found form to earn himself a call-up back to the National team
“For the moment, we are not in a good position right now because we have two qualification matches to play,” he told Bundesliga Vibes
“Ghana is my country and if they invite me I will still represent my country.
“Of course I am interested in returning to the team.”
The 26-year-old would be a competition for Columbus Crew defender Harrison Affull who have been enjoying monopoly at the right-back position.
He lasted played for Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil where he made an appearance in the opening Group game against USA.
