Former Inter Milan youth star Said Ahmed Said scored a brace to power Hajduk Split to a 3-0 win over NK Oriolik in the Croatian Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The 24-year-old raced his side into the lead with a 13th minute opener at the Igralište NK Oriolik before he rounded up the victory with a strike from the spot on the 92nd minute mark.
Said, born in Kumasi, has hit a rich vein of form for the 6-time Croatian champions who are gunning for their 7th Cup title in Croatia.
He has scored 6 goals in 10 games for Hajduk since July and is seeking to score more goals to enhance his form. Four of his 6 goals this season are strikes from the league while the two comes in the Cup.
He bagged 7 league goals in 28 appearances last season.
After quitting Inter Milan in 2012 the youngster joined Genoa where he scored 1 Serie A goal in 5 appearances for the Rossoblu. He downgraded to play for Monza and Mantova in the lower-tiers of Italian football before moving to Portugal to join Olhanense where he netted 8 league goals in 36 games..
He has never featured for any of Ghana’s junior national teams.
