Black Stars B defender Samuel Sarfo has vowed to avenge a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Nigeria in the ongoing WAFU Cup of Nations.
Ghana succumbed to a defeat last Saturday in the final Group match, despite the loss the Black Stars were able to qualify for the semi-finals having beaten Guinea and Mali.
The defending Champions after a win over Niger in the semi-finals are poised to beat their perennial rivals in the finals come Sunday.
Sarfo is anticipating revenge over Nigeria who also defeated Benin to qualify for the finals.
“We can’t afford to lose to them for the second time, we lost in the final Group game and this time it should be a revenge for us,” the Liberty Professionals skipper spoke to Ghanasportsonline.com in the mix zone after the match against Niger.
“We know the fans were disappointed about that defeat but this time around we will do all we can to win the finals.
“That is the only way we can make the people of Ghana happy and personally I am looking forward to a get game.”
Winner of this year’s WAFU Cup of Nations takes away a whopping UD$100,000.
