Accra Hearts of Oak have raised a red flag against their perennial rivals, Asante Kotoko and threatened to report the Kumasi-based club to FIFA should the Porcupine Warriors make an attempt to illicitly cajole their influential and talisman, Winful Cobbinah to cross carpet to join the fabulous lads.
Reports are rampant in the media that the Executive Board Chairman of Asante kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has vowed to glue Cobbinah to Kotoko next season due to the player’s marvelous performance for both the Phobians and the local Black Stars team participation in the ongoing WAFU tournament.
Winful Cobbinah, the erstwhile division two midfield has suddenly made a giant leap forward in his football career especially after his unsuccessful stint in Saudi Arabia and this development has made the Kotoko business mogul to take a fancy of him and trying to lure his services but the Administrative manager of the former CAF Champions league winners, Hackman Aidoo has jumped the gun to warn their arch rivals over their purported attempt.
“Winful Cobbina has contract with hearts and he is still committed to the team so there is no way hearts will sell him to any local club. As I’m talking to you now,” he told Cape Coast-based ATL FM
“There is a mouthwatering deal from U.S.A which we are still in negations so kotoko must be very careful in their calculated attempt to obstruct the deal else hearts will send them straight to FIFA for the federation to take them to the woodshed’’.
Hearts is looking forward to end their 9 years trophy drought by winning this year’s league.
