Ghana will be without winger Thomas Agyapong for next week’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda.
The 21-year-old has been ruled out for the six weeks with an injury.
The former Ghana youth team captain suffered a setback at his Club NAC Breda and underwent a scan.
Details of the scan reveal the player will not be able to kick a ball for at least the next 45 days.
The situation has forced the former Right to Dream Soccer Academy player to pull out of the Black Stars squad.
He was named in Coach Kwesi Appiah’s 26-man squad for the game in Kampala.
Kwesi Appiah could name a replacement for the former Ghana U20 attacker.
Agyapong cemented his position in the Black Stars team after a blistering performance in his debut game against Ethiopia at the Babayara Sports Stadium where he made two assists to help the Black Stars demolish their counterparts 5-0 in a Cup of Nations qualifier.
He was also inclunecial in Ghana’s 5-1 hammering over Congo in a World Cup qualifier last Month.
