Ghana international Jordan Ayew scored his second goal of the season for Swansea City when they progressed in the English League Cup by defeating Reading 2-0 in the round of 32.
The Ghanaian doubled his side’s lead late in the game as they advanced to the last 16 of the competition.
Alfie Mawson opened the scoring after getting on end of Renato Sanches cross.
Ayew added a second for the visiting side with a well-taken strike in the penalty area to seal victory for the Premiership side.
The 25-year-old before his goal on Tuesday evening had scored in a League game against Crystal Palace.
He was also making his second appearance since recovering from a stomach bug he suffered whilst on international duty with the Black Stars team.
The former Aston Villa, Olympique Marseille and Lorient attacker will be seeking to get more goals for his side to maintain his starting place in the team following the return of Ivorian Winfred Bony who was resigned by the Walsh Club after flopping at Manchester City.
