Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko had to halt their training game at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Friday evening after floodlights at the stadium disappointed.
Head coach Steve Pollack had to call proceedings to a close after plants powering the floodlights at the FA Cup semi-finals venue went off beyond repairs.
The Porcupine Warriors were scheduled to take on Desire Academy but the club failed to show up for the game. Pollack decided to play among the players to give his side a feel of how it is to play under floodlights, according to Kumasi-based journalist Samuel Acheampong on Accra-based Asempa FM.
But the floodlights went off just moments into the game, leaving the Kotoko contingent with no options than to return to their base in Kumasi.
Asante Kotoko will take on Medeama SC under floodlights at the venue in the semi-finals of the 2017 FA Cup on October 1.
