The Gambia’s WAFU Team Coach Omar Ceesay has finally named his 18 man squad for the West Africa Football Union ( WAFU ) tournament in Ghana as he continuous to intensify their local training ahead of the opening kick off with hosts Ghana on September 9th in Cape Coast.

The local based National side on Friday engaged in another warm up match with a selection from Banjul and this time beating the city selection three nil courtesy of Bun SANNEH whose effort was after a beautiful speller from Gibriel Sillah just quarter way into the hour mark before Saikou Touray and BABOUCARR CAMARA came on to increase the scoring

The Gambia’s Pa Omar Jobe ( DROGBA ) at front of goal missed clear and clean cut chances that could have comfortably put the WAFU team ahead but the Real De Bjl striker always find the post wayward.

Second half resumption was the best omen for Saikou Touray the lad from Marimoo when he came on from the bench clearing a congested Banjul defence and tapping it behind the post. BABOUCARR CAMARA sealed off the win for the WAFU bound team and summed it up to three nil.

The WAFU team ended the warm up with a three goal cushion at their back and will now hope to defend the win to Brikama when they take on the Brikama selection on Monday afternoon for another warm up.
