Vincent Atinga has been one of the outstanding players for the Black Stars B team in the ongoing WAFU Cup of Nations in Cape Coast.
The center-back has lived up to the bill since making an appearance in Ghana’s opening game against Gambia where he came on to replace injured Musah Nuhu.
Atinga has settled in the starting line-up featuring in all four matches played so far.
The Hearts of Oak defender has already attracted interest from foreign scouts who are currently monitoring the tournament.
“There have been so many inquiries on the Ghanaian players, the likes of Vincent Atinga have all attracted interest,” Spokesperson of the GFA Ibrahim Sannie Darra said.
“Scout have been asking of him, same as players like Winful Cobbinah and Patrick Razak.
“So this competition is a huge platform for this players.”
The strong defender has so far scored one goal for the Black Stars B team in the competition.
He was undoubtedly one of Ghana’s best performers in yesterday’s 2-0 defeat to Nigeria in the final Group match.
