Former Ghana U20 midfielder Seidu Salifu has been included in the Black Stars B team for this year’s WAFU competition.
Salifu , unattached surprisingly made the cut just weeks after returning to the country having ended his deal with Turkish outfit Ümraniyespor.
Coach Maxwell Konadu who had worked with the midfielder at WA All Stars is believed to have handed the player a selection which has since raised talking points in the media.
With barely 24 hours to the start of the WAFU competition, the former Kotoko Coach is yet to announce his final 18-man squad.
Meanwhile Medeama midfielder Justice Blay is reported to have been dropped from the squad which is expected to be released today.
Other players who failed to make the squad according to reports are Inter-Allies goalkeeper Kwame Baah, Ibrahim Moro of Bolga All Stars as well as Ashanti Gold duo Abeiku Ainooson and Amos Addai.
Ghana plays Gambia in the opening match of the WAFU tournament at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Saturday.
