Elmina Sharks have expressed their dissatisfaction about the performance of referee Uriah Gla who officiated their penultimate League game against Aduana Stars last Sunday at the Dormaa Agyemang Badu II Park hence planning to report the match official to the referees review Committee of the Ghana Football Association justice.
The coastal boys suffered a 2-1 defeat to the newly Champions elect despite getting in front through the effort of Benjamin Tweneboah in the first half but this early goal was not sustainable enough for the visiting team.
Referee Uriah Glah awarded a last minute penalty to Aduana Stars that propelled them to victory, a decision which left Elmina Sharks owner Dr Papa Kwesi Ndoum expressing his grieve on social media.
“We didn’t play football at Dormaa last Sunday because referee Uriah Glah was not applying football rules in the game, he only made his own football rules to favor Aduana Stars.
“In fact, I admit that the penalty was perfectly converted by the taker but the incident that resulted the penalty was non-existing decision in an association football and very soon, Sharks will officially report referee Glah to the Referees Review Panel to ensure that he is punished severely’’. He told ATL FM in Cape Coast.
Elmina Sharks have to beat Wa All Stars on Sunday at the Nduom sports complex to escape relegation.
