English-born Ghanaian striking sensational Edward Nketiah carried Arsenal on his shoulders as he scored a brace to power Arsene Wenger’s side to a 2-1 win over Norwich City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
It was a big night for the 18-year-old at the Emirates Stadium as he climbed off the bench in the 85th minute and made instant impact as equalized Josh Murphy’s opener for the visitors.
The teenager then struck the match-winner six minutes into the extra-time as Arsenal sealed passage to the next round of the competition.
Nketiah had a home debut he will never forget as he equalised 15 seconds after coming on, before heading home the winning goal in extra-time of our Carabao Cup fourth-round clash.
Trailing to the Championship club with six minutes of normal time remaining, Arsene Wenger took a gamble and threw on the 18-year-old, who has been so prolific at youth level.
Nketiah barely broke stride as he ran on before converting a corner from close range to spark jubilant celebrations.
