Kotoko or Hearts are set to represent Ghana in Africa once again after the two teams made it to the finals of the MTN FA Cup competition.
Ghana’s glamorous Clubs (Kotoko and Hearts) have been absent from continental competition for some time now.
The two Clubs last made an appearance in Africa four seasons ago where they both failed to make it past the second round in the Champions League and Confederations Cup.
Having set up a much-anticipated final in the MTN FA Cup on October 29, the two Ghanaian outfits will now battle to grab the available slot in the Confederations Cup next year.
Both Hearts and Kotoko are unlikely to get a hand on the League title which could have seen them play in the CAF Champions League as they lie third and fifth respectively on the log with four matches to go hence will be shifting their attention to the FA Cup title as an alternative to participate in Africa.
Hearts of Oak ejected WA All Stars after beating the defending League Champions 2-1 in the first semi-final match played on Sunday with Kotoko beating Medeama 1-0 to make it to the finals at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
