Accra Hearts of Oak made it to the finals of the MTN FA Cup after beating WA All Stars 2-1 in the first semi-final game on Sunday.
Hearts, record holders of the competition are just a game away to increase their titles to 11 having won the competition on 10 occasions.
Diminutive attacker Patrick Razak opened Hearts of Oak’s account with a sleek finish in the 36th minute.
Razak received a through pass from captain Thomas Abbey before slotting it pass WA All Stars goalkeeper Rashid Seidu.
Kwame Kizito made it 2-0 after 61 minute as he planted the ball into the net after the WA All Stars defense had failed to deal with a ball on the 18 yard box.
Substitute Samuel Attah Mensah who came on for injured Kevin Mathew Andoh tapped in from a cross to bring WA All Stars back into the game.
However the defending League Champions failed to get the match-needed equalizer hence crashed out of the competition.
Kotoko will take on Medeama in the next semi-final game.
