The defender who is nursing an injury could not travel with the Championship side who displayed bravery to hold City at Etihad but could not triumph on penalties.
Wolves managed to hold Pep Guardiola’s side to a 0-0 draw in regulation time as well as extra-time but lost the battle to the host during the shoot as they missed two kicks with City scoring all four.
