No Black Stars player made CAF’s best 11 players for the World Cup 2018 qualifiers.
Ghana will not be participating at the FIFA World Cup in Russia after missing out on the only available slot in Group E.
With a game in hand, Egypt have already booked a place at the mundial next year having accumulated 12 points out of the five matches played.
CAF on Thursday named some of the outstanding players in the qualifiers for their respective countries.
The team had the likes of Egypt star Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane of Senegal and Nigeria’s Victor Moses.
Also in the team was Uganda goalkeeper Dennis Onyango, Yusif Mskani of Tunisia and Ahmed Hegazi of Egypt.
Ghana’s Thomas Partey and Christian Atsu who were all shortlisted for the Africa player of the year award missed out in CAF’s best 11 for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars team are currently preparing for their final World Cup qualifier against Egypt at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday.
