Newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side Karela United have opened talks with Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu, Ghanasportsonline.com can reveal.
Akurugu has been regarded surplus by Hearts of Oak who could release the goalkeeper before the start of the new season.
Ghanasportsonline.com sources reveal the former Sekondi Hasaacas glovesman who still has a contract with Hearts of Oak has already sent in a transfer request.
The goalkeeper played second fiddle to Ben Mensah in the second half of the season.
