Bottom placed Serie A side Benevento are plotting a move for Ghana international Afriyie Acquah.
Benevento wants to reinforce their squad by signing the 26-year-old midfielder from Torino this winter.
Acquah together with teammate Kevin Bonifazi might be moving to the Stadio Ciro Vigorito in January.
Under-fire manager Roberto De Zerbi believes the two players could fortify his squad following the team’s failure to record a win after 14 rounds of matches in the Serie A.
After a good start to the season where he featured in Torino’s first four matches, Afriyie Acquah seem to have lost his place in the starting team.
His lack of playing time has cost him a place in the Black Stars having failed to get an invite in the team’s last three matches.
The former Ghana youth star could be joining countryman Rahman Chibsah should he agree to move to Benevento in few weeks time.
The newly-promoted serie A side secured their first points this season after drawing 1-1 with giants AC Milan over the weekend.
