Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has been named the humanitarian player of the year at his Club Columbus Crew.
The center-back was one of the six players honoured at the Columbus Crew’s end of year awards ceremony.
Mensah was rewarded for his good works off the field.
The Ghanaian international has been involved in lots of charity works in his native country (Ghana).
Teammates Fredico Higuain, Ola Kamara, Zack Steffan, Josh Williams and Jesen Lukasco were all award winners for their outstanding performances for the Club this season.
The 27-year-old enjoyed one of his best seasons at Crew since moving to the Club.
Ghanaian compatriots Harrison Afful, Mohammed Abu and Lalas Abubarkar were left out of the awards despite their decent performances for the Club.
