The majority shareholder who doubles as the club’s Board chairman, Togbe Afede has stamped on his authority by denying Kwame Kizito and Vincent Atinga from rejoining the Phobians.

The two influential players who got flamboyant in the just ended Ghana Premier League had their contracts expired with the club and decided to leave to seek for a greener pasture abroad.

Vincent Atinga was a standout performer for Hearts of Oak last season

Atinga in his bid to leave the rainbow boys secured a floating status which renders him a free agent to join any club of his choice.

This bizarre attitude by the two players have made most of the supporters and the top hierarchy of the club become enrage and peeve especially, the Board chairman, Togbe Afede.

The two players were believed to have secured foreign deals but as at now, everything shows that these foreign deals are non-existing ones and for that matter, they have rescinded their decision and decided to reunite with the phobians but the board chairman insists there is no way he will allow these two ungrateful players to return to the club.

Kwame Kizito won the hearts of many fans of the Club with his incredible form in the Ghana Premier League

According to the traditional leader (Togbe Afede), the players have exposed his outfit into public ridicule and have undermined the integrity of the capital- based club hence, his decision to shut down his doors for the rebel players.

Some of the club’s supporters are believed to have been accusing board member, Alhaji Akambi as the brain behind the decision of the majority shareholder for denying their players from rejoining the club.

Meanwhile Hearts of Oak are expected to make new signings ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Coach Frank Nuttal who has been away for sometime will return on Wednesday to lead the team’s ongoing preseason exercise.
