Nigeria and Africa’s fastest-growing energy group, Aiteo are set to become the headline sponsor for the Black Stars.
Media reports indicate the company is ready to fund the Africa giants who recently had a deal with the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) cancelled.
GNPC withdrew their sponsorship package for the Black Stars months ago.
Aiteo who recently took over as headline sponsor for the CAF Awards Gala are set to take up the void left by GNPC.
Reports further stress that the Lagos and Port Harcourt-based Company are also willing to invest in Ghana football to help develop the sport in the country.
The Ghana Football Association could become the second Federation to be sponsored by Aiteo after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Aiteo signed a five-year deal with the Nigeria Football Federation worth an estimated N2.9b which helps in the funding of salaries of the Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr and coaches of all NFF’s national teams.
