Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Robert Sarfo Mensah, has revealed that his outfit will multiply its Internally generated fund this year to enable the authority fund development projects and also support the various Federations under them.
He explained that the funds that have been allocated to NSA could not cater for all the mandate of the authority hence will be exploring other avenues to get more endowment for sports.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, the former Member of Parliament for Asunafo North disclosed that, “The National Sports Authority will quadruple it’s Internally Generated Funds (IGF) in 2018 to enable it support the federations towards development and promotions”.
“It is also very important that we use our resources judiciously and efficiently “,he added.
The National Sports Authority (NSA) is the umbrella organization under which the various Sports Association operate.
The Authority is responsible for initiating and executing policies, programmes and projects to ensure the development and promotion of Sports in Ghana.
In a nut-shell, the Council is responsible for the administration of sports in the country.
