There are four Ghanaian youngsters at German side Hamburg SV with defender Daniel Asante Owusu tipped to excel at the Bundesliga club.
At 17, the centre back stands at 5ft 3in and is striking fear into strikers.
Owusu has featured regularly for the Hamburg’s U19 since he joined the Dinaseuars from St Pauli in the summer of 2017.
He has been partnering his Ghanaian compatriot Patric Pfeiffer at the back line for Hamburg.
The German-born is renowned for his prowess at the back and has accelerated his progress through the ranks with Hamburg talent watchers tipping him for first team football with few seasons ahead.
Owusu has set his site at following the lines of Gideon Jung who has marched on since being given a shot at the first team.
He’s in the U19 team along with captain Aaron Opoku, Patric Pfeiffer and Jung who is a first team member at Hamburg.
The German national team have spotted his qualities and have been blooded into their youth system as he has played for the U16 and is progressing through to the U19 side.
