Ghana Premier League promotion hopefuls Bofoakwa Tano have voted midfielder Akwasi Appiah as the club’s Player of the month of March.
He becomes the first player to win the newly instituted award after scoring three goals in 2 games for the Hunters.
The offensive midfielder beat off competition from team-mates Nuhu Sule and Ibrahim Salia to win the coveted prize which will be presented to him at the Hunters home clash with Nea Salamina on Sunday at the Coronation Park in Sunyani.
The 19-year-old pulled 127 out of A total of 303 valid Votes Cast. Ibrahim Salia and Nuhu Sule pulled 101 and 75 votes respectively.
A club statement confirmed the announcement.
“The Winner would be presented with his award before Kick off against Nea Salamina at Sunyani Coronation Park Earlier Today.”
The award instituted by the club to recognize and award players who stand out with their performances for the club within the month.
Former player of the club Armando Shafa is sponsoring the award.
