Black Stars assistant Coach Ibrahim Tanko held fruitful talks with Bayern Munich attacker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt to commit his allegiance to Ghana.
Tanko was in Germany to meet the young lad who is believed to have agreed to represent his country of birth.
Okyere Wriedt sparked to limelight after scoring 19 goals in 27 appearances for Bayern Munich II, a performance which earned him a place in Bayern’s main team.
The young attacker has done enough to convince Coach Kwesi Appiah and Ibrahim Tanko who have been working to convince the player to feature for the Black Stars.
Sources reveal to Ghanasportsonline.com that the 23-year-old has agreed to represent Ghana despite attempts by Germany who were interested in having the forward in their set-up.
Wriedt made his debut for Bayern Munich coming on as a substitute in the 101st minute for Thiago in an away match against RB Leipzig in the second round of the 2017–18 edition of the DFB-Pokal.
