CHELSEA fans were left furious after Jordan Ayew escaped a red card following a malicious challenge on Gary Cahill.
The England defender was clattered to the floor following a reckless barge by the Ghanaian international.
Ayew appeared to lose his cool in the dying embers of the game with his relegation-threatened side 1-0 behind.
After Cahill had made a back-pass, Ayew appeared to deliberately run into the defender with his arm raised.
Cahill rolled on the floor holding his head in pain before confronting the 26-year-old.
The pair squared up and shouted verbals at each other before team-mates were forced to step in and separate the duo.
Referee Jon Moss failed to punish Ayew despite clearly being able to see the incident.
Chelsea fans took to Twitter to share their anger and believe the Swansea man deserves a three match ban.
One said: “Disgusting foul from Jordan Ayew, hope he gets banned.”
Another fumed: “Jordan Ayew better be having at least a 3 game ban for that purposely elbow round the back of Cahill’s head. Stone wall red card.”
One supporter said: “Wonder if Jordan Ayew is going to see a 3-match ban. That was certainly worse that Marcos Alonso’s challenge.”
Cesc Fabregas’ goal ensured Chelsea remain in the hunt for a top four finish and left Swansea deep in danger.
