A back-to-back win have aided Liberty Professionals to 9th on the League table with 7 points.
After a slow start in the Ghana Premier League losing three matches in their first four games, the Scientific Soccer lads were able to record their first win against Eleven Wonders over the weekend.
That was not enough as the Dansoman-based Club managed to end Ashanti Gold’s unbeaten run by recording a narrow win courtesy a later strike by Elvis Kyei Baffour.
Reginald Boateng, head Coach of the side believes his side are gradually gaining their momentum back on track.
“I must congratulate my boys, they showed great spirit, they fought very hard for this win,” he said.
“Even at the point it was goalless I was confident we could snatch a win because we were on top.
“And that is the fighting spirit I always expect from the boys.
“We won against Eleven Wonders and we have won against Ashanti Gold the League leaders. We are gradually getting our momentum back.”
The successive victories could further serve as a big motivation for Liberty ahead of their next game.
