Having been diagnosed of a grade 2 muscle injury in the middle third of the semitendinosus of his left thigh, Sulley Muntari will miss Deportivo’s League match against Athletic Club this weekend.
The Ghanaian underwent a surgery after his side’s League game against Malaga last week.
He will spent a few days out of the pitch to enable him recover fully.
“Sulley Muntari underwent medical tests after the game against Málaga, which revealed a grade 2 muscle injury in the middle third of the semitendinosus of his left thigh,” a statement on the Club’s website reads.
“The Ghanaian international will spend a few days with medical and physiotherapy treatment to, as the evolution permits, begin the rehabilitation phase with the reformer Fran Molano, prior to his return to training with the group.”
Sulley Muntari has been enjoying playing time since joining the Spanish side.
The Ghanaian international could earn himself a contract extension should he live up to expectation at the La Liga side.
