Former Campaign Manager for Kwesi Nyantakyi Lawyer Kwame Ntow Fianko says the CAF First Vice President must not seek re-election for the Ghana FA Presidency in 2019.
The experienced legal practitioner and football encyclopedia has labelled cronies who are advising Nyantakyi to contest for the seat again are sycophantic dinosaurs.
“No, I don’t agree for Kwesi Nyantakyi to contest again. All those advising him to seek re-election are sycophantic dinosaurs who are just doing that because of their stomachs,” he said.
Nyantakyi has been the Ghana FA President since 2005 and is credited for qualifying Ghana to three successful World Cup tournaments.
But, the sharp decline in local football, failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, bad publicity caused by his failure to manage the Black Stars at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil along with huge public perception of corruption, football followers have fallen out of love with the Wa All Stars bankroller.
Many have tipped his current Vice President George Afriyie to succeed him.
