Ghanaian striker Mahatma Otoo scored the opener for Balikesirspor when they won 2-1 against Denizlispor in the Turkish second-tier league on Monday.
The 26-year-old raced the Reds into an 8th minute lead before home fans and played a crucial role in the sequence of play that led to the second goal in the 19th minute.
Otoo, who scored during Balikesirspor’s last league game, has now netted 12 league goals in their promotion campaign.
The former Hearts of Oak attacker is helping his side, who are 7th on the standings, to enter into the play off zone.
