Some members of the Ghana Football Association are planning to place a court injunction on investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to prevent him from premiering his No.12 Football and Politics video.
The Ghanaian public is charged up with keen interest to find out which football officials in the West African country have been videoed getting involved in corrupt practices.
According to Kumasi-based Nhyira FM some officials of the GFA have made legal consultations and have positioned themselves to apply for court injunction to stop Anas from premiering his video which many believe will shame top officials of the GFA.
In 2015, Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi claimed Anas was his friend and was in talks with him to expose corrupt football officials with the football fraternity.
WHO IS ANAS AREMEYAW ANAS?
Anas Aremeyaw Anas is a Ghanaianinvestigative journalist born in the late 1970s. Anas’s motto is “name, shame and jail”, and he is famous for utilizing his anonymity as a tool in his investigative arsenal; very few people had seen his face until an “unmasking” during a BBC interview in November 2015 — and this was a prosthetic. A politically non-aligned multimedia journalist who specializes in print media and documentary, Anas focuses on issues of human rights and anti-corruption in Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa.
