Players of Ghanaian Division One League side Brong Ahafo United Football Club are left stranded and at the mercy of the weather in Sunyani after they were ejected from their club house by former President Mustapha Riga.
The former Netherlands youth international left the Apostles of Power Soccer last month on resignation.
Riga, who played in the Spanish La Liga for Levante, is understood to have funded the club house located in the Sunyani municipality.
Riga reportedly served notice of ejection to the club’s board of directors who have since appointed Nana Amankwaatia in his place.
The former President has also taken possession of the club’s team bus which he purchased for the team on his appointment.
Amankwaatia told Sunyani-based Moonlite FM last Saturday he believes Riga still loves the club and won’t take any adverse decision against the Sunyani-based club.
Ghana Sports Online understands the club’s new management wants to quickly sort out the accommodation challenge facing the squad before their next game in the Zonal Division One League.
It is rumoured that Riga has concluded negotiations with Berekum Arsenal and is set to take over as new President.
