Benjamin Acheampong’s move to Egyptian Club El Geish looked to have been purported, according to Ghanasportsonline.com’s sources.
The deal according to information received by Ghanasportsonline.com looked to be vague as earlier reported by some Egyptian portals.
Acheampong was reported to have signed a loan deal with El-Geish from giants Zamalek.
A close source to the player has however denied the report indicating an agreement is yet to be reached despite El-Geish’s stern attempt to have the former Kotoko goal poacher on board.
“I have seen those reports as well but to be frank, it is not true, it is not true he has signed for Geish,” the source told Ghanasportsonline.com.
“Yes Geish want to sign him but there hasn’t been any agreement yet.
“Acheampong himself is having problems with Zamalek and he wants to terminate his contract.
“It is not true he has joined El-Geish, mostly these are ways the Clubs do to put pressure on the player to sign.”
The 27-year-old has been deemed excess to weight at Zamalek after joining from El-Dakhleya.
