Ghanaian striker Samuel Afum emerged victorious over his countryman Benjamin Tetteh as the two players clashed in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
Both players were involved in action as Serbian Super League side Spartak Subotica posted a 2-0 win over Spartak Prague.
Tetteh started the game for the Czech Republic top-flight side and lasted 84 minutes at the Stadion Karađorđe in Novi Sad.
Afum was introduced by the Serbians in the 74th minute as a replacement for Andrija Vukcevic.
The return-leg fixture is slated for next week. While Afum will seeking to secure progress with his Tetteh would focus his attention on helping his side to overturn the tie.
Afum, a former Young Boys striker, signed a two-year-contract with Subotica last month and is determined to rediscover his form.
