Ghanaian youth striker Daniel Agyei climbed off the bench to score and inspire Burnley to a 3-2 win over Preston North End in a pre-season exhibition game on Monday evening.
The Dansoman-born attacker was introduced in the second-half by the Clarets and he fired the Premier League side into a 2-1 lead in the 72nd minute.
Agyei, who spent last season on loan at League One sides Walsall and Blackpool, has returned to Burnley and is seeking to fight for a regular spot in the Burnley squad.
The goal against Preston has brightened his chances of getting playing time at the Turf Moor under Sean Dyche.
Agyei has 3 Premier League appearances to his name after making substitute appearances against Manchester United, Everton and Liverpool in the 2016/17 season.
He was born in Dansoman, a suburb of Accra and started his career at Liberty Professionals.
