Who is talking on behalf of the players in this era where reforms are been put in place to get football kicking again?
I hear this reform can take up to 1yr ( I stand to be corrected)? If so what happens to the footballers in that space of 1 yr?
What must we do? I know for a fact that if a footballer is not been payed for 3 months, he or she can seek for ‘floating’.
Right now if u are not fortunate enough to have a national call up to one of the national teams or the club you are playing for is no longer training and you are home. What becomes of you? Must the footballer just continue to train (whereas not getting money from the club – the money isn’t coming but that little is better than none cos we hope for a better future as we train is such conditions knowing that one day things will change) or look for other things to do get us money?
It’s like a month now since football stopped but trust me this is as nothing compared to those 3-4 times when football was halted for 3-4 months in the country due to issues of the game.
I hear people saying we the footballers should be patient in this difficult moment but my question is in this crucial moment where the government is putting things in place to get football back in better conditions, what must we do?
I just hope that whiles we wait patiently, government can try and find a way of sorting us with some money so that we can depend on that to keep us going for the mean time.
(I stand to be corrected if I’m wrong at any point I raised and also your views are welcomed)
