Dutch-born of Ghanaian descent Derrick Luckassen has completed his loan move to German Club Hertha BSC from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
The defender opted to join the Bundesliga side amid several interest from other Clubs.
PSV Eindhoven and Hertha BSC reached an agreement to have the player join the latter for the next one season with an option to buy.
Luckassen’s time with PSV Eindhoven was a difficult one after making just 19 appearances for the Club.
The center-back after a successful spell at AZ Alkmaar joined PSV Eindhoven before the start of the 2017/18 season.
Hertha Berlin manager Michael Preetz lauded the signing of the 23-year-old.
“We have had him on the slip for quite some time, because he suits us very well with his ability in tackling, headball and opening the game,” the manager continued.
“I was immediately convinced that Hertha BSC is the right move and I want to win a lot of games with the team and finish as well as possible in the league”.
The player is still eligible to play for Ghana having not yet been capped by the Netherlands National team.
