Ghana star Kwadwo Asamoah has emphasized that his Inter Milan side to beat Parma to brighten the Nerazzurris’ chances in the UEFA Champions League clash against Tottenham.
The 29-year-old has returned to the Appiano Gentile and is training feverishly with his Inter team-mates ahead of the weekend Serie A clash with Parma.
Inter manager Luciano Spaletti is yet to get full house after the international break but Asamoah has insisted the group is training with determination to beat Parma.
The former Scudetto winners host English side Tottenham Hotspur at the Giuseppe Meazza in the Champions League and the Black Stars returnee believes beating Parma is key to success in the Champions League.
“Today I’m happy to be here, to meet many fans, Saturday we the Serie A after the break. We are working well even if some players are still missing due to the international break, but it will be important to get a good result and go to the Champions League. We have to prepare for Parma at our best so that we can have an extra gear in Europe,” he told reporters.
Asamoah recently ended his four year absence away from the Ghana national team as he played for the Black Stars in their 1-0 loss to Kenya in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers in Nairobi.
