Ex-Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah was at the launch of the second edition of the Total Petroleum’s ‘Startupper of the Year’ competition.
The retired footballer appeared at the event as the brand ambassadors for Total Ghana.
Appiah together with the CEO of the Association of Oil Marketing Companies, Kwaku Agyeman-Duah as well as the ultimate winner of the previous edition of the challenge, Joseph Ayinbora graced the occasion at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra last Friday.
The former Juventus star was hired by Total Petroleum Ghana to represent the brand in a positive light and also help increase brand awareness and sales.
The Total Petroleum ‘Startupper of the Year’ competition is designed to unearth budding entrepreneurs to help advance the socio-economic development of the country.
Having helped to ensure a successful program, Appiah, one of the Black Stars backroom staffs has left to join the team in Kumasi as they prepare for Thursday’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
